Fitness classes

The Fitness Studio comes complete with sprung floor, full length mirrors, dance bars and sound system. A programme of Fitness and Dance classes such as gentle exercise, circuit, bootcamp and running are available throughout the year and cater for all ages and abilities.

Our current weekly fitness and activity programme is:

Mondays    4 -7pm. Ballet and Tap classes**

Mondays    6 -7pm.  Tennis. Cost £3*

Tuesdays    6 -7am. Early morning bootcamp. Cost  £5*

Tuesdays / Wednesdays (alternate)  12.30 – 1.30pm. Walking Circuit. Cost £5

Thursdays   6 -7am. Early morning bootcamp. Cost £5*

Fridays  10-11am. Gentle Exercise. Cost £5*

Fridays  1.30-3pm. Soft Play. £3/£1 siblings

Fridays 7.30-8.30pm. Run England’ Running Club. Cost  £5*

*Free for Premier Plus Gym members up to 2 classes per week

Bootcamp

Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 6 to 7am
Start the week by exercising outside in a fitness session to kick start your metabolism for the day and increase energy levels.

Walking circuit

Alternate Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons from 1.30-2.30pm

This is gentle circuit exercise and is a peer led group with imput from the gym instructor. It concentrates on strength and conditioning around joints as well as some core work to help keep fit and active.

Gentle Exercise for over 50s

Friday mornings (term time) from 10 to 11am

A gentle aerobic and mobility warm up is followed by further extension exercises for cardiovascular fitness (heart, lungs and circulation).  Strength exercises are included to maintain muscle for everyday life and to prevent falls.  Exercises are carried out seated and standing.  A floor or chair element comes at the end for core stability.  All parts of the body are energised and worked to maintain a range of movement around joints to build strength and capacity to carry out everyday tasks.

Running Club

Friday evenings from 7.30 to 8.30pm.

Do you want to run to stay in shape?  Come along to get fit, active and enjoy yourself through running.  This is a ‘Run England’ Running Club and the leader is fully qualified in running fitness.

Anyone for Tennis?

We have a great tennis offer!  Take up a yearly tennis membership for just £25 for individuals and £40 for families and play tennis as often as you like!   Alternatively pay £3 per hour for adults (£1.50 for children) to hire the tennis courts.  We also have our adults tennis club on Mondays from 6-8pm – new members always welcome.

Soft play sessions

We run children’s soft play sessions for 0 – 5 years every Friday in term time from 1.30pm – 3pm. Let your child have fun, be active and develop some essential balance and muscle control. Cost £3 and £1 for siblings. Healthy snack included and tea/coffee for adults.
